1. What’s your full name and where are you from?
My name is Allamylle, and I’m from Indiana.
 
2. What category are you competing in (Performance, Fashion, or Film)?
This year, I’m competing in the Fashion category.
 
3. What inspired you to submit to Artsville LIVE this year?
I submitted to Artsville LIVE because of my passion for handmade fashion and the lack of it in mainstream spaces. I want to showcase timeless designs that inspire conversations beyond just the creative community, sparking an appreciation for individuality and craftsmanship in everyone.
 
4. Tell us a little bit about your piece or performance.
My runway performance this year will highlight timeless handmade fashion. It features garments that have been customized through various techniques such as painting, sewing, and crocheting—blending artistry with functionality to create something truly unique.
 
5. How long have you been practicing your craft or art form?
I’ve been honing my craft for the past five years.
 
6. Who or what influences your creative work the most?
My biggest influence has been my grandmother, who worked as a seamstress for decades. She provided me with the skills and foundation to build my own brand. I’m also deeply inspired by the fashion of the late 1900s—especially the 1960s and 1970s—and I love blending those classic, timeless styles with contemporary trends.
 
7. What’s something people might not know about your creative process?
One thing people might not realize is the depth of the techniques I use to create each piece. What may look like a simple skirt or hat involves a combination of hand sewing, machine stitching, painting, and embroidery. I enjoy blending multiple mediums to achieve a final product that feels rich in texture and meaning.
 
8. How do you hope people feel when they see your work?
I hope my work evokes a sense of peace and comfort. More than anything, I want people to understand that fashion doesn’t have to be about chasing fleeting trends. My goal is to connect with the everyday person who values quality, durability, and comfort in their clothing choices.

10. If you win Artsville LIVE, how do you plan to use the $1,000 prize?
If I win the $1,000 prize, I plan to invest it in upgrading my branding and packaging, as well as purchasing higher-quality materials for my new designs. I’ll also use the funds to boost my online presence through targeted marketing and professional product photography, which will help me expand my customer base and elevate my brand.
