Jada LaTroyce

Art: A Dozen Roses, 2025

A Dozen Roses is a vibrant, large-scale installation composed of twelve towering, flower-like sculptures ranging from three to six feet in height. Inspired by the artist’s personal “rose period,” the blooms are rendered in bold, layered hues that captivate the eye and invite playful interaction. This immersive garden of oversized flora becomes a symbolic space—echoing the emotional weight of memory, growth, and the cycles of love and rebirth.

Jada LaTroyce is a sculptor based in Clarksville, TN, and a 2020 BFA graduate from Western Kentucky University. Her work explores themes of identity, self-discovery, culture, and personal growth, often drawing from lived experiences and meaningful connections. Jada LaTroyce creates pieces that are deeply personal yet universally resonant, encouraging reflection and dialogue. Her work has been exhibited internationally at The Holy Art Gallery (London and Athens), as well as regionally at institutions including the Kentucky Museum, MTSU, the University of Kentucky, and SkyPAC. As an African American woman, her perspective is shaped by culture, race, and music, all of which inform the narrative of her evolving practice.
